As the name indicates that Blockchain is a chain of blocks that contain information. Data store in Block chain depends on the type of Blockchain. It is a type of distributed database. In Block chain each digital document or information is time stamped which will ensure that the document or information can’t be back dated or tempered. Block chain is a distributed ledger or open distributed ledger which is completely open access to everyone.
When data is recorded in Blockchain block it is very difficult to change it. As each block in Block chain is consist of data, a hash of the previous block and hash of the current block. Once a block is created its hash is calculated so changes in the data or block will also cause changes in the hash value, due to this reason Hash is also used for detection in the block. First block in any Block chain is called Genesis block.
