ASTRO has changed its business restructuring when there is a need of change from offline to online platform. When there is an increasing demand of customer for online watching platforms, Astro has expand its market to online market and came out with the Astro Go app that is available for people to subscribe and watch shows online in order to attract and gain more market share. Also, in term of marketing, Astro has advertised its own channels, packages and programmes or shows through social media such as Facebook or Twitter and its online website. Thus, this will lead to the disintermediation of Astro’s intermediaries as Astro aims to digitalize at least 75% of its products by the end of 2017 through the partnership with the industry partner including Amazon.com, which means there will be less signboard advertisement or broadcasts part of its programs through satellite transmission.
