Most of the writers have their specific time or ritual for writing and Of course she also had a writing ritual. She preferred to write in ascetic setting. Before starting working on book she rented a room in a hotel and asked to remove everything like flowers, pictures, magazines or anything that can distract her. She needed an impersonal, unchanged and closed space so that she can complete feel cut off from outer world. In that hotel room she keeps only bed, dictionary, bible, a bottle of sherry and a deck of cards. She always used to wake up at 5.30 in the morning. Around 6 a.m. she reaches hotel. She locks herself there and starts working. No one was allowed to disturb her. She stays there till 12.30 p.m. or 1.30 p.m. then she went home and read what she wrote. After that she takes shower and prepares dinner.
So, for achieve anything you have to be determined and focus. To do any work, don’t wait for the inspiration. You have to stick to the goals like her and have to work hard to get what you want.

“I don’t know about lying for novelists. I look at some of the great novelists, and I think the reason they are great is that they’re telling the truth. The fact is they’re using made-up names, made-up people, made-up places, and made-up times, but they’re telling the truth about the human being—what we are capable of, what makes us lose, laugh, weep, fall down, and gnash our teeth and wring our hands and kill each other and love each other.”
