Through data and analysis, we see that Whirlpool has built its way up, and is easily one of the best corporations in the appliance market. One can even argue that in general their success should be used as example for others to follow by. They have built a good reputation that will definitely be remembered by and have brought in millions of revenue. Whirlpool have demonstrated that they in fact have competitive advantage against other competitors and controlled their market shares, one can even say that they are in the right path for continuing their success. All of this is proven and shown through the detailed external and internal analysis. However, there’s one problem. Firms who are usually doing well, and have this kind of competitive advantage against other competitors, tend to get comfortable. Whirlpool can never get too comfortable, because if so, they may forget their values, and end up ruining the success that precedes them. As long as Whirlpool continues to do what they are doing and maybe adding different smaller “rare” products in order to increase their competitive advantage, they will continue to be successful in the appliance market.
